Andy is the Education Lead at iTrust, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he oversees internship programmes, talent development, and the development of cyber–physical security learning experiences. His work focuses on advancing operational technology (OT) cybersecurity through research, education, and applied training.
He holds a Master of Science in Security by Design and a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Product Development (Computer Engineering track) from SUTD, as well as a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering major) from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
At iTrust, Andy has led and mentored numerous student cohorts across secondary, polytechnic, and undergraduate levels, providing guidance in Python programming, OT cybersecurity, and applied system design. He has also contributed to national and international cybersecurity initiatives, including co-organising the Critical Infrastructure Security Showdown (CISS) and supporting Singapore’s contributons in NATO’s CCDCOE Locked Shields cyber defence exercise.
Andy has performed extensive quality assurance analyses on cyber twin technologies to ensure their robustness and reliability, and co-authored the technical report for the International CISS 2021. His current work focuses on hybrid cyber twin development, data pipelining, and the creation of educational tools and simulations to enhance OT cybersecurity learning.
His professional interest lies in teaching and advancing knowledge in OT cybersecurity. Before joining iTrust in 2021, Andy worked in a family office environment as an equity analyst, managing investment portfolios and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives.
