This list that comprises of top 2% scientists in various scientific fields was created by Professor John P.A. loannidis and his research teams from Stanford University. It contains a publicly available database of over 186,000 top scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator.
The analysis was conducted using citations from Scopus along with data assessing scientists for career-long citation impact and citation impact during a single calendar year.
