On the 19 May 2016, a team of iTrust staff and researchers headed down to CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School (SNGS) for its annual World Readiness Programme (WRP) Symposium for Year 1 Joint IP students. This is the second year running in which iTrust has been invited to SNGS to raise cyber security awareness to young students. A total of 500 students from SNGS, Singapore Chinese Girls School and Catholic High attended this symposium. Ivan, iTrust’s Senior Associate Director (Cyber Security Technologies) entertained the students with several interactive informative presentations and demonstrations while driving home the message of the potential threats from cyber security and cyber crime. Students also engaged in a lively debate session on the topic of privacy versus security.
